Eccletic cafe/restaurant honoring Cuba
(thayer)
This is one hard place to describe, but it certainly harkens back to a time before one could fly from the US directly to Cuba. It's jam packed with art and oddities to let your mind wander more than any Rorschach test. Not a fancy foodie stop but an essential part of artistic and intellectual San Francisco, because you'll feel like you could sit there all day and write a novel, or sip sangria with an old friend until your teeth are bright red. We've seen kids spend 45 minutes driving hotwheels cars along the front windows as they contemplate all the recycled toys (even when the club is closed).
